Jesus said, Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.” (Matthew 10:40-42).
The life of a preacher is an adventure many leave unfinished. It is full of both thorns and glory. I have been lied to, liead about, slandered, threatened, robbed, shoved, and many other things I choose not to remember often (2 Timothy 4:16-17). However, i have also been praised, prayed for, encouraged, mentored, received gifts, and many more blessings that perhaps only preachers know. For each thorn in the flesh there are always hundreds of roses.
Remember man of God “always be sober minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” (2 Timothy 4:5).
