I Know My Redeemer Lives!

One of these options must be true. Either Jesus died and rose from the dead; Jesus just appeared to die; Jesus died and the body was stolen away; or the apostles supported a made up story in order to gain attention for themselves. But none of the apostles profited monetarily from the story of the resurrection. The likelihood of the body of Jesus being stolen away is slim to none. The location of the burial was well known and the Roman guards were the most highly respected experts at what they were doing. The body could not have been stolen away. Some say that Jesus only appeared to die. But remember that the Romans were experts at what they were doing. They knew Jesus was dead while on the cross. They knew Jesus was dead when he was buried.

Jesus really did die. Jesus really was buried. Jesus really did rise from the dead. This reality brings us to another wonderful truth—“For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep” (1 Thessalonians 4:14). What a blessed Gospel!

King of kings, and Lord of lords,

King of kings, and Lord of lords,

And Lord of lords,

And He shall reign,

And He shall reign forever and ever,

King of kings, forever and ever,

And Lord of lords,

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

And He shall reign forever and ever,

King of kings! and Lord of lords!

And He shall reign forever and ever,

King of kings! and Lord of lords!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
