Its great to be making progress. Always moving forward is our goal. Christians, we are to be moving forward. We have great opportunities. We have the great Gospel. We have great members. We have a great future. It’s time to go forward. It’s time to continue the legacy.
Paul wrote to Titus about being a great servant. A great part of the exhortation had to do with building on the past as we look for the future. Paul said “For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hoe, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works” (Titus 2:11-14).
In Titus 2:11-14 we are reminded of our past, our present, and our future and it all centers on God’s grace. God’s grace appeared and brought salvation to the world. God’s grace has taught us how to live in the present. We are looking forward to the day Jesus returns again. Our past, our present, and our future are all covered in God’s grace.
Since we have these great blessings, we can make the most of the opportunities God places before us. Let us glorify Him as he has blessed us.
